After completing the compilation, I noticed that with sound effects, the video would be even more impactful. Therefore, I went to FreeSound.Org & downloading some object sounds such as typing, phone notification sounds, paper pulled out from an envelope, and more.

I also tried color-correcting the footage as some of them were either overexposed or too cold in color.

MV EDITING
Firstly, I placed three of the exact same clips directly on top of each other on 3 tracks. After that, I placed the cropped video effect on them three & cut accordingly.

I made sure to use a font that best suited the theme of the MV video.

To give the scene more dynamicity and impact, I shaked the canvas using a few settings of rotation and scale from the Effects panel.

There were some parts that had a warmer color than the others so I color-corrected those and made all of it consistent.

3. SHOOTING PRACTICE
For practical class today, we went to the photography studio at E1.01 & tried being a film production crew for a day. We got to experiment with the equipment for sound recording, camera, tripod as well as clapper board. My team, we were assigned to base our shoot on Shot No.7. As for the script & storyline, we improvised it on the spot. During class, we also positioned our talents at the desired filming location & marked them using masking tape.

Since the audio & clip were recorded separately, I combined the two in Premiere Pro. The following video was how it turned out.

4. PRODUCTION SHOOT
Fig 4.3 Matching External Audio with Camera Audio, Week 3 (12/9/22)
I followed the beat of the song and did ripple editing to make the clips sync.

I rearranged the clips and added dip to the black effect to create a more cinematic effect.
Fig 4.5 Adding a Black Space in Between the Clips, Week 3 (12/9/22)
I denoised the voiceover using the settings from the Audio Effects tab as the audio had a loud background noise.

After all that is done, I did some color corrections to make the warmer scenes cooler.

FEEDBACKS
WEEK 4- ATTEMPT 1
Mr. Martin & my peers really enjoyed the rough cut of my music video. He also said that the split screen was acceptable & was just to present our editing skills to him.
REFLECTIONS
For Project 2, I had lots of fun both during production as well as post-production. It is quite rare that my peers and I got to work together as a team to achieve a common goal, as usual, all of our assignments were individually based. For the Production Shoot, Mr. Martin was extremely patient with our group to ensure that we were doing the right thing while filming e.g the consistency of movements.
