PRACTICAL

HEARST MANSION

First things first, we needed to mask out Shazam from the picture below and photoshop him into a setting seamlessly.

MY REFLECTION

A similar task to the Hearst Mansion is given to us but the only difference is that we need to replace the role of Shazam.

Because I felt that my presence in the design was too bright and wasn't unrealistic so I alter the contrast and luminance to 'myself'.

REFLECTIONS

I felt that this task has taught me the importance of angles and proper perspectives when taking a picture. This is because if the angles are not in line with the angle of the background/ setting, the whole composition would look odd and not cohesive. Therefore, for the reflection task whereby we had to take a full-body picture of ourselves, I made sure that the camera was centralized and that the photographer pointed the camera at the correct angle. In terms of photoshopping myself into the background, I observed that scale is another crucial factor to make the entire design look realistic. For example, if you are taller and bigger than the lamp next to you, then the entire proportion does not make sense and it would be bad work.
